Thank you for allowing Cakes Plus to do a specialty cake for your upcoming event. Please place your order in person or via telephone, (301-490-3600). DO NOT email or fax cake orders. Due to the fact that we create a cake to your specific instructions we have implemented the following guide for you, to make ordering your cake as easy and convenient as possible.

• Monday - Thursday orders, most orders can be ready for pickup after 2pm, the following day.
• Friday - Saturday orders need to be placed by Thursday 12:00 noon. NO EXCEPTIONS! We are CLOSED SUNDAYS.
• When ordering via telephone, please have your credit card information ready.
• To protect you, the credit card MUST be present when the cake is picked up.
• A deposit is required for orders placed in person.
• Ordering a cake via telephone is best suited for the uncomplicated cake designs i.e. Flowers or Balloons.
• Please come into the store and place your order if you would like to have a cake with a specific picture, theme, or color (swatch required). We need to see the picture and/or theme to give you an artwork quote. (Copyright laws pending)
• We require a minimum of 48 hours for any changes, postponements or, cancellations, NO EXCEPTIONS
• Inclement Weather - We cannot control the weather, therefore we will have your cake ready for pickup on the day that you requested. In the event of snow, our lot will be plowed and access to our store will not be a problem. If you need to make any changes, cancellations, or postponements please note that we require a minimum of 48 hours notice. We will be happy to give you freezing instructions if your party has to be postponed or cancelled, at the last minute. We DO NOT have freezer capacity to store your cake beyond the pick up date.

• We have wedding cake tasting every Saturday from 10AM -5PM. No appointment is necessary.
• We have a large selection of wedding cake pictures (1000+) available for you to choose from. If you have a picture of a cake, bring it in and we will see if it is something we can recreate. (Copyright laws pending)
• When placing a wedding cake order, please allow one hour for our wedding cake advisors to take your order. (please note our hours of operation)
• Please bring the following information when you order your cake: Caterer information, a swatch (a small piece of fabric) is needed for special or matching colors, location (name), full address, phone number and contact information of your reception site, the time that your reception starts, and what is the earliest time your reception hall will be ready for delivery, a two (2) hour window is necessary
• Our wedding cake advisors are usually available to help you. Occasionally, they may not be present or have other appointments. Please call ahead, to make sure an advisor will be available to answer all of your questions, and/or take your order.
